Energy Secretary Samuel W. Bodman

Ovshinsky, Founder, Chief Scientist and
Technologist of ECD Ovonics and Chairman and
CEO of United Solar Ovonic, on the technology
of thin-film triple-junction photovoltaic solar
panels during a tour of the existing United Solar
Ovonic plant in Auburn Hills, MI. Stan indicated
that, during the roll-to-roll manufacturing
process, nine miles of solar cells are deposited
in 72 hours.
