Corporate Officers of ECD

Mark D. Morelli
President and Chief Executive Officer

Mark D. Morelli is President and Chief Executive Officer of ECD. Prior to joining ECD, Mr. Morelli served as a senior executive with United Technologies Corporation (UTC). During a 15-year career at UTC, he held progressive executive leadership positions, including international assignments, with a proven track record of improving profitability, leading team-building and reorganization efforts, and integrating businesses on a global scale. His customer and strategic business experience includes developing and marketing building-integrated products. From 2006 to 2007, Mr. Morelli was President of the Carrier Commercial Refrigeration business, a division of Carrier Corporation, a UTC company.


Ted F. Amyuni
Executive Vice President of ECD and President - Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA)

Ted F. Amyuni is Executive Vice President and President – Europe, Middle East and Africa. Prior to joining ECD, Mr. Amyuni served in a number of key executive leadership positions at Carrier Corporation (a division of United Technologies Corporation) in the United States, in Europe, and the Middle East. He has over 30 years of global leadership experience in operations and commercial management and has held international management assignments in Europe, Middle East and Africa. He was a member of UTC’s Executive Leadership Group.


Joe P. Conroy
Executive Vice President – Operations of United Solar Ovonic

Joseph P. Conroy is Executive Vice President of ECD and Senior Vice President – Operations of United Solar. Prior to joining ECD, Mr. Conroy had over 13 years of experience in executive leadership positions with American Axle & Manufacturing, Inc. and more than 8 years of progressive manufacturing leadership roles with General Motors Corporation.




Kenneth P. Fox
Executive Vice President of ECD, and President – Americas and Chief Marketing Officer

Kenneth P. Fox is Executive Vice President of ECD, and President – Americas, and Chief Marketing Officer. Mr. Fox has over 30 years of global experience in developing and leading high growth, profitable businesses. Prior to joining ECD, he served in a number of key executive leadership roles at United Technologies Corporation and most recently was responsible for UTC Power’s Stationary Power Solutions, a business focused on distributed power generation and building efficiency services.




Michael A. Fetcenko
Vice President Ovonic Materials

Mr. Fetcenko is a world respected expert in the field of Nickel Metal Hydride batteries and has been responsible for over 55 patents, 70 publications and author of textbook chapters on NiMH batteries. He joined ECD in 1980 and was one of the founding members of Ovonic Battery Company (OBC) where he rose to the position of Senior Vice-president and Director of Technology. Mr. Fetcenko has also played the pivotal role in the enforcement and licensing of the company’s intellectual property and was responsible for technical and business-related interactions with OBC’s licensees. As the head of the Ovonic Materials Division, Mr. Fetcenko leads the operations and strategic planning and drives commercialization of our diverse ECD technologies including biofuel reformation, fuel cell, hydrogen storage and information technology while continuing to grow our Ovonic NiMH battery business.


Gary M. Glandon
Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer

Gary M. Glandon is Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer of ECD. Mr. Glandon has more than 28 years of leadership experience in Human Resources for high-tech, high-growth companies, including Honeywell International, Tanox (biotechnology) and Gateway. Prior to joining ECD, he was Chief People Officer for Insight Enterprises, a global technology solutions provider headquartered in Tempe, Arizona.




Subhendu Guha, Ph.D.
Executive Vice President - PV Technology, ECD
Chairman, United Solar Ovonic

Subhendu Guha is Executive Vice President of ECD’s PV Technology and Chairman of United Solar Ovonic. Dr. Guha, who joined ECD in 1983, is a world-renowned authority in photovoltaic technology, with many years of experience in the development and manufacture of solar panels. He serves in many national and international photovoltaic committees, including the Advisory Board of National Center for Photovoltaic — the body responsible for directing and implementing the U.S. Department of Energy's strategy in photovoltaic. His work has received recognition from the U.S. Department of Energy, Bright Lights Award, and the Discovery Magazine, Environment Category.


Jay B. Knoll
Executive Vice President, General Counsel and
Chief Administrative Officer

Jay B. Knoll is Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Chief Administrative Officer of ECD. In this function, Mr. Knoll oversees the legal and the administrative operations of ECD. Mr. Knoll has more than 15 years of corporate counsel experience. Prior to joining ECD, Mr. Knoll was Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Collins & Aikman Corporation and held leadership positions at Lear Corporation, Covisint LLC, Visteon Corporation and Detroit Diesel Corporation.


Harry W. Zike
Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer

Harry W. Zike is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of ECD. Prior to joining ECD, Mr. Zike served 18 years with Siemens Corporation in various executive and international financial positions, including CFO of the Americas Region of two of Siemens largest operating divisions (Automotive & Power Generation). Mr. Zike also served 13 years with Price Waterhouse in their audit, advisory and M&A practices. Mr. Zike currently serves on the Boards of Directors of Babcock Power, Inc. and the Detroit Chapter of Financial Executives International.
